Christmas Cards

That time of year is slowly approaching. I don't know about you guys, but I can't believe it. It seems like we were just lounging by the pool.

This year I am trying to get my Christmas cards done before Thanksgiving. However, that is a little easier said than done. I found an adorable site called Brick House Paperie. They may make this goal of mine a little easier to accomplish. Here are a few of my favorites.

Where do you guys get your Christmas cards?

My new obsession

I can't get enough of Facebook these days. I have reconnected with so many people. I just secretly wish I would have come up with the whole concept.

A Little Something For All You Moms Out There

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the
sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask "Why me?" and get their answer when a
little voice says, "Because I love you best."

Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or
years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

RuMe Bags

I have been trying very hard lately that when I go to the store I do not use any plastic or paper bags. If I had a few of these bags by RuMe I know that it wouldn't be a problem. Not only do they fold up nicely and fit inside your purse but, the larger bags hold up to 50 lbs. The mini RuMe holds 30 lbs. The bags have square sides and bottoms so they sit nicely when you stand them up. I think this is going to have to be my next purchase. My favorite is the Greenwich design. I will be fashionable and saving the environment all at the same time.

Back To School

We start school in less than a week. I can't believe that summer is almost over. However, we had a very memorable summer.

I love finding new and different lunch boxes and back packs for my little girl. My oldest son doesn't care what he carries as long as it is Under Armour. Luckily I can still persuade my little girl enough that her feel like it is her choice. So I just had to share my adorable finds with you. The above lunch box is from em tanner designs. They have so many adorable choices to choose from. The back pack came from Room It Up. I had her name monogrammed in hot pink and it came back looking wonderful.

Vacation Time!!

We are headed to the beach for a little fun in the sun. I am so excited to get out of town and just relax and enjoy my family. My kids are so excited they could barely go to sleep last night. However, it could have been all the heavy storms and the threat of tornadoes that did it too. I'll be back next Saturday so you guys have a great week and I'll check in periodically.

The sign above can be found here.

Anchors Away

As soon as I saw these nautical themed items I thought of so many of you out there. I really like the anchor tote. I can almost see myself carrying this to the beach next week with my book or magazine. You can find each of the items above at Pears and Bears.

8-Year Old Swallows 30 Magnets and Steel Balls

It is amazing that this little girl is still alive. Apparently she swallowed 10 magnets and 20 steel balls. The parts came from her Magnetix set. The doctors told her family that it looked like there were 8 gunshot or holes from a stabbing in her intestines.

I'm sure many of you have Magnetix in your home, as do we, I just never thought I had to worry about my older children swallowing the parts. I have heard of very young children dying from swallowing Magnetix so we always made sure to pick up the parts before our 2 year old came into the room. You can read the whole story here.

Mrs. Meyer's At Target

My sister recently gave me some Mrs Meyer's counter spray. I had never tried it before so I was really excited. I fell in love with it the 1st time I used it. I can clean my counters in the kitchen and you can smell it all the way upstairs. The fragrance I have is geranium. However, my mom and sister swear by the basil scent.
The bad thing about falling in love with Mrs. Meyer's was that I couldn't find it anywhere in
OKC. I was at Target yesterday looking to see what new and exciting things were there and what did I see, but Mrs. Meyer's. They had everything, counter spray, soap, all-purpose cleaner, and even the shower cleaner. I was so excited. It is the little things in life that make me happy.

Are You A True Fan?

Are you guys ready for the big Sex and the City premiere tonight? Unfortunately I'm going to miss opening day, but I am definitely seeing it next Tuesday. I found this fun quiz on MSNBC that I thought would be fun in celebration of today.

Mickey Mouse t's

Mickey Mouse is a big deal in our house. So when I found these cute Mickey shirts I knew I had to share. The 1st one is from the incredibly cute store Chasing Fireflies. The bottom one is from Zappos , it is made by the line Disney Couture. We actually have a shirt from Disney Couture and it fits rather snug. I think the idea is for it to look vintage, but you may want to order up a size. So if your plans are to go on a little Disney adventure this summer, your little cuties would look darling in one of these shirts.

We Are Back!!!

I has been a while since our last post, but you know what I really miss sharing my great finds with others. I have to admit though I have been one of those pesky lurkers. However, I will lurk no longer. Now that it is glorious summer time I feel I will have more time to devote to blogging. For my 1st post I wanted to do something that I feel passionately about and that is world hunger. I found these wonderful bags here. For each bag purchased the World Food Programme will feed a child in Africa for 100 days. The catch is that child must attend school. What I love about this bag is that it is eco-friendly as well. What a wonderful cause to participate in.
It feels so good to be back!!!!!!!!
